Call for Presentations

GLOBE Meeting is about community involvement. The aim is to exchange ideas, share good practice and celebrate the diversity of the GLOBE Program together. That is why we invite you and your students to present your experience in one of the following three topics:

A) GLOBE Benefits the Environment

Tell us about your GLOBE activities that have a direct impact on the environment and increase the environmental awareness of the local community.

B) GLOBE is a Platform for Collaboration

What collaborations were developed around GLOBE research and observations that you have done at school, national or international level?

C) GLOBE Develops Competencies and Skills

What skills did you build and enhance thanks to GLOBE? Talk about your own experience as a student/teacher or about your class experience.

CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS IS CLOSED

Call for Student Videos

As a part of the meeting broadcast, we would like to give a voice to students. We want to hear from all the GLOBE YouTubers and Instagram freaks! The topic for 2021 videos is a very actual one:

GLOBE for Tomorrow: We are Climate Change Generation

About Europe and Eurasia Regional Meeting

The GLOBE Europe and Eurasia regional meeting and training is hosted every autumn in one of the countries of the Europe and Eurasia region. It is a time for the GLOBE community members – country cooordinators, teachers, scientists, and students to meet and exchange experience.

The 2021 meeting will be organised online, so that all participants can join from the safety of their homes. We regret not having the opportunity for us all to meet in person. However, an online meeting is a great opportunity to see each other and learn a a lot about GLOBE without travel costs and CO2 emissions.

About the GLOBE Program

The Global Learning and Observations to Benefit the Environment (GLOBE) Program is an international science and education program that provides students and the public worldwide with the opportunity to participate in data collection and the scientific process and contribute meaningfully to our understanding of the Earth system and global environment.

There are more than 37000 GLOBE schools in 125 countries around the world. Over 800 thousand students have participated in GLOBE contributing more than 201 million measurements to the GLOBE database for use in their inquiry-based science projects.
